Description


Chickpeas are high in protein. It is an important vegetable in India and Pakistan country, and popular in Europe as well. Chickpeas with Pasta is one of Rome's favorite humble dishes. Today due to cheaply available beans and pasta, this dish can be widely found, even in restaurants that do not feature Italian cuisine.

Ingredients

2Cupchickpeas
4Clovegarlic
2Teaspoonsalt
3Tablespoonolive oil
4Leafbay
1⁄2Teaspoonblack pepper
100Gramshort and small pasta (such as Macaroni,Ditalini)
1Bunchrosemary

Instructions

1. Rinse the chickpeas, put them in a bowl with cold water and soak overnight. Chickpeas need rinse again before cooking.
2. In a soup pot, combine the chickpeas, garlic,rosemary, olive oil, bay leaves and water. Bring to boil, reduce the temperature and keep it gently boil. Remove the foam from time to time. About 1.5 hors, if the chickpeas are tender enough, salt can be added.
3. Add pasta in soup pot and stir well, cooked another 10 minutes.
4. ladle into individual soup bowls, sprinkle black pepper, or green onion as garnish.
5. ready for serve.

Notes

Bring chickpeas to be tender need about 1.5 hours. during the soft/gentle boil process, u can choose to make the pot cover partially open as well.
